Biography

Jennings L. “Bucky” Hurt III is a shareholder of the firm. He is AV-Preeminent 5.0 rated by Martindale-Hubbell and oversees the firm’s liability defense business. He is the firm’s most experienced jury trial lawyer, having tried over 200 jury trials. Bucky has focused his practice in the area of medical malpractice for the past 44 years, representing hospitals and physicians in 34 medical specialty areas. His additional areas of practice include automobile litigation, general liability, personal injury claims, premises liability, product liability, uninsured motorist claims and wrongful death claims.

Bucky was named “Lawyer of the Year” for Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants (2013 and 2016) for Orlando, “Lawyer of the Year” for Insurance Law (2015), and “Lawyer of the Year” for Litigation- Insurance (2022 and 2024) for Orlando by Best Lawyers in America.
