Biography

Karina Flores is an associate attorney at Rissman, Barrett, Hurt, Donahue, McLain,, & Mangan, P.A. Karina’s practice concentrates on Workers’ Compensation. Previously, she practiced as an assistant public defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit where she advocated for children facing juvenile criminal charges before moving onto private criminal defense.

While in law school, Karina did all her work and internships in the criminal defense field, including internships at the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Orlando and the Office of the Public Defender for the 9th Judicial Circuit. She was also a certified legal intern at FSU College of Law’s Children Advocacy Clinic, where she worked to assist juveniles in the foster care system with legal matters.

Karina is a Spanish speaking attorney who has received Book Awards (highest grade in class) for Criminal Litigation Skills, Effective Communication for Attorneys, and Scientific Evidence.
